Zoology 2013. Semester Results Before the Examination
The semester has ended; the examination lies ahead. For all groups it will take place on 10 June, Monday, at 8 a.m. Presented here are the results of student work during the semester, the examination rules are explained once more, and the procedure for online consultations is described.
Dear second-year students! The semester is over, and the exam is ahead. In all groups, it will be held on June 10, Monday, at 8 AM. You will all take the test simultaneously, based on questions about mammals (including their systematics) and general questions. You will have one hour of pure work for the test. After that, you can take a break, and at 12 PM, you will all take the exam questions simultaneously (as you remember, the list is here). At the beginning of the semester, I informed you about the calculation of points adopted in zoology courses in recent years. They are shown here and reflected in the image, which I will repeat on this page. As you can see, during the semester, it was necessary to earn 56 points, of which 28 points were for passing tests. I only defend the first test (which was worth 4 points). You compromised the second and third tests by copying and passing assignments to each other; I did not conduct the fourth test. Accordingly, I am keeping the grade for the first module (which included the first test), and the remaining 48 points are awarded for oral examinations of subsequent modules to the instructors (including the oral examination of mammals, not provided for in the initial plan). For passing the second and third modules, 12 points each are awarded (E—6, D—8, C—9, B—10, A—12); for the fourth, birds, — 16 points (E—8, D—10, C—12, B—14, A—16); and for mammals, as for the first module — 8 points (E—4, D—5, C—6, B—7, A—8). Here's what turned out (the list is not alphabetical, but by groups):

In the exam ticket, there are six questions. The first two (exam topics #1 and #2) are mandatory for everyone. Those who have passed all modules will only answer them. Those who have not passed anything will answer all six questions. They saved time during the semester and will likely not find it difficult to prepare for a more serious program. To put your mind at ease, I inform you that I plan to check the works "blindly," in an encrypted form. A student unsatisfied with their module grade can improve it. For example, Ruslana Yurchuk (I will explain using her as an example because she is at the very bottom of the table) must answer questions on exam topics #1 and #2 (like all students), as well as questions about birds, for Module IV (since she did not pass it). Before taking the ticket, she will ask me if her grades for the first three modules satisfy her. If they do (she passed them with threes), she will not have to answer these questions; if she wants to retake them, I will annul these grades, and she will answer these questions too. You must state whether modules will be retaken before the ticket is drawn (so there is no playing by chance). If you decide to retake, what you received during the semester will be annulled. Consultations are held offline – here, on the forum (and look at the questions I have already answered). Prepare!!!
