March 21. Lamprey Spawning at the Border of Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions
At the border of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, near the settlement of Yaremivka, a relict population of the Ukrainian lamprey is preserved. Its condition is of interest, and our ichthyologists have monitored this small population for many years.
At the border between Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, near Yaremivka settlement, a relict population of Ukrainian lamprey is preserved. Its status is of interest, and for many years our ichthyologists have observed this small population. This time again, as part of a large group, we went there, checked what was happening, measured a number of individuals (and, of course, released them). On the way back, we stopped at Middle Jurassic outcrops in Kaminets to look at mollusks and brachiopods. Many thanks to the organizers and participants of this trip! It was pleasant and warm...
