PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION Registration will be held in the lobby of the main building of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on November 22, 2011, from 9:00 to 13:00. During registration, participants will receive conference materials and the program. Please note that registration is a mandatory condition for participation in the conference. If you plan to arrive earlier or later, please inform the organizing committee of the exact date of your arrival.
Oral presentations Presentation of reports: multimedia presentations created using Microsoft Power Point. Regulations: at sectional meetings, speakers are given 7 minutes for an oral presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion. Please adhere to the schedule. Technical and software: the organizing committee provides the necessary equipment for all sections: 1) laptop, 2) multimedia projector, 3) laser pointer. The presentation file should be submitted by the conference participant during registration or immediately before the start of the section meeting. Media: CD or flash drive.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS Poster design. A single paper board, size A1 (84.1×59.4 cm). Each poster should include: title, author(s) full name, author(s) addresses (including e-mail). Materials for attaching the poster will be provided by the organizing committee. Poster design sample.

TRANSPORTATION V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is located in the city center at Svobody Sq., 4. The university is a 2-minute walk from the "Universytet" metro station. TRAVEL FROM THE TRAIN STATION: from the Southern Station to the university, you can take the metro. From the "Pivdennyi Vokzal" ("Yuzhny Vokzal") metro station, travel to "Radians'ka" ("Sovetskaya") station, transfer to "Istorychnyi Muzei" ("Istoricheskiy Muzei") station. From the "Istorychnyi Muzei" metro station, travel one stop to "Universytet" ("Universitet"). The cost of a metro token in Kharkiv is 2 UAH (approx. 9 RUB). You can also take a taxi from the station to the university (fare is negotiable, within 50-60 UAH). TRAVEL FROM THE AIRPORT: from Kharkiv Airport to the university, you can take bus #119. Alternatively, you can get from the airport to the "Prospekt Haharina" ("Prospekt Gagarina") metro station by trolleybus #5 or by minibus.

The organizing committee does not guarantee meeting participants who notify about their arrival less than 24 hours in advance.
MEALS The cost of lunch at fast-food establishments in Kharkiv ranges from 20 to 50 UAH (approx. 90-200 RUB). The conference program, provided to each participant during registration, will include information about fast-food establishments with their addresses. Meal costs are covered by the conference participants.
ACCOMMODATION The organizing committee offers the following accommodation options for conference participants: 1. Aviator Hotel (Professorska St., 31). Located in the Sokilnyky district, a 20-25 minute taxi ride to the university. • 2-bed room (without TV and refrigerator), rooms in blocks of 2 (shared bathroom for the block), 48 UAH/person (approx. 200 RUB). The hotel offers 20 rooms of this type. • 2-bed room (with TV and refrigerator), 78 UAH/person (approx. 350 RUB). The hotel offers 36 such rooms. • 1-bed room (with TV and refrigerator), 96 UAH/person (approx. 400 RUB). The hotel offers 10 such rooms. 2. Hostel "Na Zaleskoi" (Zaleska St., 5, https://hostel-kharkov.ucoz.ua/). 15 minutes walk from V. N. 4. Natsional Hotel (Lenin Ave., 21, https://hotels.360.net.ua/ukraine-harkov-hotels/natsional.html). Rooms starting from 220 UAH (approx. 900 RUB).
5. Mir Hotel (Lenin Ave., 27a, https://www.hotel-mir.com.ua/). At the "Botanichnyi Sad" metro station. The hotel offers a wide selection of rooms at a cost of 420 UAH/room (approx. 1700 RUB; for a 2-bed room).
Accommodation payment is covered by the conference participants. If you wish for the organizing committee to book a room/bed for you in one of the suggested hotels, please indicate in your email which option you prefer and for how many days. Remember that, in addition to the suggested options, there are many other hotels in Kharkiv, and at your request, we can book a room in a location convenient for you.
EXCURSIONS Two free excursions are planned during the conference – an introduction to the historical landmarks of Kharkiv and an excursion to the museums of V. N. Karazin KhNU (duration 45 minutes from 10:00 to 14:00 on November 22). The organizing committee can also arrange excursions: • to the "Prime" liqueur and vodka factory (November 25, duration 3 hours, cost – 40 UAH/person); • to the honey museum, where you can learn about the history of honey production, see various instruments, drink tea, and buy treats. If desired, a trip to the silk production museum or a ostrich farm is possible. The cost is about 50 UAH, depending on the program's richness. Excursions are possible only if a group of at least 50 people is formed. As they need to be booked in advance, please express your interest in an email. Additionally, on November 23 and/or 24, it is possible to visit the only museum of world sexual cultures in Ukraine (cost 15 UAH, for students – 10 UAH). The organizing committee can also book tickets for you to Kharkiv theaters. We recommend visiting the famous Kharkiv "Theater 19" (ticket price – 60 UAH, performance starts at 19:00): • 22.11. Performance "The Door". An incredible comedic-philosophical and detective-mystical event in 2 acts based on Luigi Lunari's play "Three on a Swing" in the theater's stage adaptation. • 24.11. Performance "Our Hamlet" based on Shakespeare, translated by Boris Pasternak. An unconventional production, with Serhiy Babkin himself playing Hamlet.
If you wish to book a ticket for any of the proposed performances, please let us know. Unfortunately, full information about Kharkiv theaters' repertoire for November is not yet available, but you will be able to get more detailed information during registration. During your free time, participants can visit the Kharkiv Zoo, Botanical Garden, Museum of Nature, Planetarium, free galleries AVEC and Maestro, Art and Historical Museums, Kharkiv Philharmonic, and the Hall of Organ and Chamber Music.
FRIENDLY MEETING All interested participants are invited to a friendly meeting on the occasion of the conference opening. The cost of the dinner is 120 UAH (12 €). The contribution can be paid upon arrival; please indicate if you plan to attend the friendly meeting in your email.
PHOTO EXHIBITION A photo exhibition will be held as part of the conference. The exhibition will be in the university lobby on the physical sciences side on November 24 from 9:00 to 17:00. Interested participants can submit works that correspond to the conference theme "Biology: From Molecule to Biosphere" during registration or in advance. Along with the photographs (A5-A4 format), please provide information about the number of submitted works, authors, and titles (if any).
