Haldane's Dilemma

Greetings. Haldane’s dilemma is a topic that regularly resurfaces in scientific and quasi-scientific circles. The issue is often dramatized by a well-known, very verbose participant in evolution debates (nickname beginning with the letter “I”), which does not help constructive discussion.
