Ecology-2014. Module IV and Overall Result
It is time to summarize the ecology course. Scores for seminar attendance (12 points for full attendance) are added to scores for four modules (22 points each).
Well, the ecology course is finished. There were significant "rough patches" in how it went, but, one way or another, we can sum up the results. The fourth module was written poorly. In this regard, the grades are very meager. I removed two of the "failing students" for violating the rules of conduct during testing. What they managed to earn, I checked (an FX grade is still better than no grade at all). The specific result of each is in the general table. The grading system is as follows. The attendance grade corresponds to 12 points for all attended seminars and, naturally, 0 in case of complete absence (however, for those who did not show up for classes at all, I did not assign any points). For groups attending on Wednesdays, the last seminar was counted only for those 6 students who found time to complete it remotely and wrote as much as they wanted on the corresponding page. Half of the attended seminars corresponds to 6 points; this grade was automatically rounded to whole numbers. Each module is "worth" 22 points. Grades: FX - 5; E - 10; D - 13; C - 16; B - 19; A - 22. I will be accepting exams on Saturday, November 29th, during the 3rd pair, on Wednesday, December 3rd, during the 3rd pair, and also at a time that you arrange with me. Representatives of the respective groups asked to hold the exam not during the first pairs. I am very happy about this. On Monday, the 1st, I have to go to Dnipropetrovsk; on Tuesday, the 2nd, I will be very busy. From Wednesday onwards – schedule an exam time convenient for the Friday and Monday groups. If you are satisfied with the grade posted here, you simply hand in your grade book through the group leader or a suitable intermediary. If you are not satisfied – you will retake the necessary modules. This is how it happens. You state which modules you want to retake (at this moment, the grade that was for that module becomes 0), draw a ticket with four questions corresponding to the four modules, and answer the required questions in writing. Those who do not receive a passing grade during the exam period and have a backlog will, within the allotted time, without any exceptions, answer all four questions on the ticket. The questions on the ticket correspond to individual phrases in the course program or are close to them. I hope you will give short, concise, and specific answers, directly addressing the question asked. Please refrain from lengthy discussions in support of all good and against all bad (unfortunately, popular ecology is often associated with such discussions). Work!
