Ecology-2015. Results of the Second Module and Mid-Term Attestation

The greater part of the semester has elapsed; two of four assessment modules have been administered, and more than half of the total points have been determined. The results achieved to date are presented here; the same data are submitted to the dean's office as the official mid-term attestation. First, the results of the second module. A maximum of 24 points was allocated for it. The scoring was conducted on the same principle as the previous time. Oksana Borozna was narrowly edged out by Anya Pavliy, and the 24-point scale is calibrated against Anya's result as the highest score. The lowest result for which I accepted the module was achieved by Sokhiba Kachkarova; her score corresponds to 50% of the maximum, i.e. 12 points. All other scores were calculated from these anchor points and rounded to whole numbers. The distribution of second-module results and the corresponding points are as follows: [IMG_1] Do you see those two solitary data points corresponding to responses for which I awarded 24 points — achieved by those who scored more than 80% correct answers? Those are Pavliy and Borozna. I cannot fathom what prevented the remaining students from reaching that level... Below are the individual data for each student. Three components of the overall score are shown. The first (10 points) — seminar attendance. The majority of seminars have already been completed; the total allocation for seminars will be 12 points. The second component is Module I; the third is Module II. A total of 54 points have been distributed to date. The remaining 46 points consist of: 2 for attendance, 20 for Module III, and 24 for Module IV. If you have fewer than 27 points, you are on course for a failing grade. An excellent grade corresponds to 49 points or above.
