Ecology; Autumn 2011. Results of the Ecology Course in the Autumn Semester of 2011

Results of the fourth module and, at the same time, results for the entire course. Those who are satisfied with their accumulated score may submit their record books through the student monitors. Those who wish to improve their result or did not receive a passing mark should take the credit orally in written form. The course tickets contain 4 questions, one for each module...

The results of the fourth module also serve as the final results for the entire course. Those who are satisfied with their scores may submit their grade books to me through the class representatives. Those who wish to improve their scores or did not pass the module must take a written make-up exam. The exam papers for the course contain 4 questions, one for each module. You discuss with me which modules you need to retake, pick a paper, and answer the questions in writing. By the way, I’d like to remind you of the request (for all groups except the physiology students) to submit your answers to the question tentatively titled “What to do?” Please take a few minutes and don’t be shy! Exam times: Tuesday, the 27th, at 1:25 PM; Wednesday, the 28th, at 8:45 AM (starting in the middle of the first class!) and 11:40 AM. In addition—send representatives (or write in the comments)—we’ll work something out. First—the distribution of correct answers and grades for Module 4. As you can see, I graded quite generously, especially for C. Now we can discuss how the final grade was determined. The grading method was communicated to everyone before the start of the course and is outlined here. The only change was that I offered the chance to earn extra points by generating tests. Only two people took advantage of this. In both cases, the proposed tests turned out to be unimportant (in one of them—clearly translated from some not-very-competent source; in the other—apparently original, but, in my view, uninteresting). In both cases, I awarded 3 points out of a possible 10 for the tests. I will not award any more points for tests; if you want to improve your grade, take the modules by answering the questions in writing. So, here are the results. In the calculation of the total, the first four terms are the scores earned on the modules, the fifth is the score for attending seminars, and the sixth (if applicable) is the test scores. Only seminars were counted toward attendance. Enter these grades in your grade books or get ready to retake the necessary modules!
