Karazin.\nStudents, postgraduate students, and young scientists (aged up to 35 years) conducting research in various fields of biology (including biomedicine and ecology) are invited to participate in the conference.\nThe format of participation is in-person. Participants may choose one of two formats for presenting their materials: 1) oral presentation, 2) poster presentation.\nWorking languages of the conference: Ukrainian, Russian, English.\nThe conference program is planned according to the following areas:\n\nbioinformatics;\nbiomedicine;\nbiotechnology;\nbiophysics;\nbiochemistry;\nbotany;\ngenetics and breeding;\nzoology;\nmycology and phytopathology;\nmicrobiology, virology, and immunology;\nmolecular and cell biology;\nphysiology and biochemistry of plants;\nhuman and animal physiology;\necology.\n\nPrior to the conference, a collection of abstracts will be published; the materials will be posted on the Faculty of Biology website of KhNU and on the website of the Student Scientific Society of the Facultyof Biology after the conference.\nTo participate in the conference, please send the registration form, electronic version of abstracts, and a scan of the payment receipt (as attached files in one email) to the conference email address molecule_biosphere@ukr.net by October 23, 2015. Please use the attached files zayavka_ukr, zayavka_rus, or reg_form to complete the registration. Please note that registrations must be completed only using this form. Registrations completed in any other manner and registrations sent without abstracts may not be considered. The file(s) with the registration form(s) containing information about all authors of the abstracts should be sent by the presenter. The name of the file(s) with the registration form(s) must correspond to the presenter's surname in Latin characters, with the surname indicated at the beginning of the file name. Example of file name — meleshko_zayavka. The file must be saved in RTF format. To complete the registration procedure, it is necessary to send registration forms for all co-authors of the abstracts with mandatory indication of date of birth. In the subject line of the email, it is necessary to indicate the presenter's surname and the section to which the abstracts are submitted, for example: Meleshko, zoology.\nTo the postal address of the organizing committee by October 23, 2015, it is necessary to send:\n\nprinted copy of abstracts, signed by all authors and the scientific supervisor\nprinted copy of the registration form\n\nATTENTION! Abstracts may not be considered if:\nthe section name is missing in the email subject;\nabstracts are sent after the specified deadlines;\nprinted abstracts do not have the signature(s) of the author(s).\nMaterials are considered received if the organizing committee has sent confirmation of receipt of the electronic versions of the abstracts and registration forms to your email address. In the absence of confirmation, please resend the materials within one week from the date of the first submission.\nRules for formatting abstracts\nThe text of abstracts, not exceeding one page, must be typed in Microsoft Word in Ukrainian, Russian, or English. The file name must correspond to the presenter's surname in Latin characters. Example of file name — meleshko_tezy. The file must be in RTF format. Page size — A4, all margins — 2 cm, Times New Roman font, font size 12 pt, single spacing, special characters from the Symbol font family.\nAbstracts should be formatted as follows:\n\nTitle of the abstract (in capital letters, bold font, centered)\nSurname, first name, patronymic of the author(s) of the abstract (bold font, centered)\nInformation about the scientific organization(s) represented by the author(s) of the abstract; indicate the name of the organization, department or scientific unit, full address of the organization, email of the author(s).\n\nThis information is provided without extra spacing, left-aligned.\nText of the abstract. Text alignment — justified, first line indent — 1 cm. The text of the abstract should be submitted without hyphens, without bold letters, without text highlighting. Latin species names should be italicized.\nReferences to literature. A list of literature at the end of the abstract is NOT attached. References to literature sources necessary for understanding the abstract are given in the text of the abstract in parentheses (Author, year of publication).\nAbstracts written in Russian or Ukrainian must contain a summary in English (summary) of no more than 10 lines, which is placed after the main text.\nUsually, after the main text and summary, acknowledgment to the scientific supervisor is given or information about the scientific supervisor is provided (full name of the supervisor, his/her academic degree, title)\n\nIMPORTANT! The age of each of the co-authors must not exceed 35 years. In our investigation the attempt was made to modify the method of quantitative estimation of sulfated glycosaminoglycans (sGAG) of cartilaginous tissue to use it on cell cultures. The method of Gold E.W. (1980) of quantitative estimation of sGAG...\nPoster formatting. The poster size must be 59.4×84 cm (A1 format). Each poster must contain the title, full name of the author(s), addresses of the authors (including email). This information must be indicated at the top of the poster similar to the formatting of the abstract header (the title must be noticeable and easily readable). Materials for fixing the posters will be provided by the organizing committee.\nThe conference secretariat, consisting of members of the Student Scientific Society, forwards the received abstracts of conference participants for review by specialists in the corresponding fields of biology. Reviewers monitor the compliance of abstracts with modern scientific requirements. From the text of the abstracts, it should be clear why the work was carried out, what methods were used, what material was processed, what results were obtained, and what conclusions can be drawn on their basis. The consequence of these requirements is the need for concise and comprehensive construction of abstracts.\nBased on the conclusions of the reviewers, abstracts may be accepted unchanged or with minor editing, sent for revision in a short time (to be discussed with the conference secretariat), or rejected. The organizing committee reserves the right to allocate presentations to sections that will be formed during the preparation for the conference.\nATTENTION! Abstracts must contain information about the author's own research or developments, be proofread, and not contain spelling, punctuation, stylistic, or semantic errors. Placement of graphs, tables, and figures is allowed only in case of extreme necessity, if they will contribute to a significant simplification of the perception of the content of the abstracts and reduction of their volume.\nWe draw your attention to the fact that ecology is a biological science about interactions; its objects are ecosystems, communities, populations, organisms, and not the environment as such and its pollution.\nMaterials that do not meet the specified requirements or the theme of the conference will be rejected. In case of rejection of abstracts, the organizational fee will be refunded with deduction of costs for postal transfer.\nTo participate in the conference, it is necessary to send the organizational fee by October 23, which amounts to: for participants from Ukraine: 150 UAH for students, 180 UAH for postgraduate students and young scientists; for participants from other countries: 10 EUR.\nIn case of registration after October 23, the cost of participation in the conference changes to 200 UAH for students and 230 UAH for postgraduate students and young scientists from Ukraine and to 15 EUR for participants from other countries. In this case, the final deadline for submitting abstracts is November 1, 2015.\nThe amount of the participant's organizational fee includes payment for: publication of one set of abstracts, folder with conference materials, participant certificate, coffee breaks, participation in excursions, work of the organizing committee.
