*Specify the form of participation: |
Please indicate your participation format: * In-person attendance at the conference with an oral presentation at a plenary or section meeting, with or without publication of materials. * Participation in a poster session, with or without publication of materials. * Direct participation in the conference without a presentation or publication. * Remote participation with publication. Please specify your preferred postal service: "Ukrposhta" or "Nova Poshta" (and the specific branch if there are multiple in the city). Please indicate your planned accommodation: at the biological station or at the recreation center, for how many nights, and with which other participants you would like to share accommodation. **Appendix 2: Article Formatting Guidelines** Articles can be submitted in Ukrainian, Russian, or English. Use Microsoft Word with the following settings: * Font: Arial * Paragraph Indentation: 1 cm * Line Spacing: Single * Margins: Top and Bottom – 3.5 cm; Left and Right – 2 cm. The article should begin with the UDC index. On the next line, the title should be in regular font (Arial, 12 pt). This should be followed by the author's initials and surname (Arial, 10 pt), and then the full name of the scientific institution and email address (Arial, 9 pt). The abstract (in Russian, Ukrainian, and English) should be approximately 10 lines long (Arial, 9 pt). Below the abstract, a list of keywords (no more than 10) should be printed in italics. The abstract should convey the essence of the research, its main results, and their interpretation. It should not include filler words, introductory phrases, or uninformative sentences. The abstract for the language in which the article is written should appear first. Before each subsequent abstract (in the corresponding language), include the article title, author information (surname and initials, institution, email), and after it, the keywords. The main text of the article should include the following sections: "Introduction," "Methods" (or "Objects and Methods of Research"), "Results," "Discussion" (or "Results and Discussion"), and "References" (Arial, 10 pt). The "Introduction" section should present the problem in a general context and its connection to important scientific or practical tasks. It should include a brief analysis of recent research and publications that have begun to address the problem, identify specific unresolved issues to which the article is dedicated, state the working hypothesis, and formulate the study's objective. The "Methods" section should provide brief details about the research location, the specifics of the research object(s), and the subject of the study. This section should include information on the methods used for data collection and processing, the instruments employed, and statistical analysis methods. When a species is mentioned for the first time, its full Latin name (in italics) and the classification author must be provided. The "Results" section should solely describe the observed effects without commentary; all comments and explanations should be in the "Discussion." The presentation of results should not be a mere retelling of tables and graphs but should reflect the patterns derived from the data. When describing results, it is recommended to use the past tense. The purpose of the "Discussion" section is to summarize and interpret the results, analyzing the cause-and-effect relationships between the observed effects. The information obtained should be compared with existing literature data, highlighting its novelty. The discussion should conclude by answering the questions posed in the introduction. Tables should be placed within the text and each must have a title. Figures should be in black and white and placed within the text. Each figure must have a title. Citations in the text should be presented in parentheses, including the author's surname and publication year. The reference list should be alphabetized, first by Cyrillic script, then by Latin script. The list should not be numbered. **Example of UDC formatting:** 581.526.42(477.54) Herbage cover heterogeneity as indicator of ecology-phytocoenotical and biotopical diversity in oak forests O.V.Bezrodnova 1 , I.M.Loza 2 , N.N.Nazarenko 3 1 – V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University (Kharkiv, Ukraine), o.bezrodnova@mail.ru 2 – O. Study of spatial heterogeneity of herbage cover structure allowed distinguishing statistically significantly the seven types of multi-species mosaics on the coenotical level ... Key words: biotope, oak forest, herbage cover, coenotical mosaic, phytoindication, ordination, environmental regimes. (The Russian and Ukrainian versions of the title, author information, abstract, and keywords are also provided in the original text.) **Attention!** For more detailed formatting rules, please visit https://seriesbiology.univer.kharkov.ua
