Hylidae
Hylidae or Tree Frogs The family Hylidae is distributed in northwestern Africa, North and South America, the Japanese islands, the temperate zone of Eurasia, Guam, and New Zealand.
The family includes 46 genera comprising 926 species. Most species have adapted to arboreal, terrestrial, or semi-aquatic lifestyles. They have frontal eyes that provide binocular vision and adhesive pads on the digits of both fore and hind limbs. They feed primarily on insects and other invertebrates, but some larger species may feed on small vertebrates.
