Nasikabatrachidae
Nasikabatrachidae The species was discovered in the Kerala region of India.
It has a somewhat rounded, squat body with a small head and a fairly pointed snout.
Adults are dark purple in color.
The original described specimen was 7 cm in length.
The frogs spend most of the year underground, surfacing only briefly for mating (which occurs during the rainy season).
