Results of the Faculty Stage of the Student Biology Olympiad
Congratulations to the olympiad winners — Mykhailo Shlakhter and Mykola Drohvalenko!
On February 28, the faculty stage of the biology olympiad was held. Eight students participated and had to answer four questions. Although there were not many tasks, the distribution of results confirms that the outcomes are non-random: the winners showed high performance on all tasks. The results are presented in the table.
|
The instructors who graded the answers used different scales (Ye. O. Kiosya and D. A. Shabanov used a 10-point scale but gave no maximum scores; K. V. Kot used a 5-point scale; A. M. Samoilov used a scale up to 40 points but assigned a maximum of 30). If simply summed, scores for question 3 would dominate question 2 by influence. Therefore, recalculated (rating) points were used. |
