Phyllodactylidae

Phyllodactylidae Distributed across northern Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Comprises 8 genera: Asaccus Haemodracon Homonota Phyllodactylus Phyllopezus Ptyodactylus Tarentola Thecadactylus, from which 113 species are recognized. The family is notable for the adhesive pads on its feet, which allow it to move across both rough and smooth surfaces.
