Zoology 2013. Module I Test Results
For now, only the test results, without data on oral submissions to instructors. I remind you that the test grade will only be credited to those who have passed the topic orally. The result is clearly poor...
Only the test results are available yet, without data on oral presentations to instructors. I remind you that the test grade will only be counted for those who passed the topic. First, the grade distribution. Compare it with last year's and see how much the situation has worsened. Are you satisfied with this? I am not! A normal (bell-shaped) distribution is characteristic of quantities influenced by many random factors. Thus, the students' test results are influenced by many factors that increase or decrease their knowledge of zoology, affect the amount of effort they put in, or even simply affect their level of intelligence. Six students with the worst results fall out of the bell-shaped distribution, as well as Valeriya Sapozhnikova, who "scored" 95% (the test was not difficult, of course, but the result is still very good). In addition to six failing grades, a bad symptom is 11 people who did not take the test. Take the test correctly in any case; even an FX, a failing grade, still gives some points. Adding the number of those who did not take the test to the number of those who failed, one can see that almost a quarter of the students in the course (79 people!) failed this very simple test. The next tests and the exam will be harder! As you can see, the bell-shaped distribution is "cut" into groups of comparable size so that the boundaries fall on the gaps in the distribution. Individual results are given in the table. If the names and surnames are written incorrectly in the table or the groups are indicated incorrectly, please inform me about it (e.g., in the comments to this news).

It seems I initially misattributed the result of Juan Zhenghua to Yevhen Nezhivyy... Dear second-year students, your course will now be divided into two groups: those who will engage in continuous work and cope with increasingly complex tasks, and those who will drop out of the educational process and accumulate debt like a snowball. It depends on each of you which group you will be in!
