Zoology-2011. Academic Debts in Vertebrate Zoology (and Ecology Too)
On August 30, part of the students with academic debts took zoology; results are provided. At the dean’s office request, one more date was scheduled: Monday, September 12, at 15:15 (start of the 5th class) in room 4-24 (Department of Zoology).
To my surprise, less than half of the students with debts in vertebrate zoology came to the pre-semester debt session, and students with ecology debts did not come at all. The papers were strict. Taking into account that grading should be adjusted to group level and wishing to reduce the number of debts, I lowered the threshold to a level allowing at least minimal grades for most who came. Two students wrote clearly better. As a result, Larin receives D, Shchegoleva receives C, and the rest receive minimum E. Unfortunately, most should be ashamed of these results. I will submit debt forms on September 1; gradebooks can also be handed in from September 1. Please do not let the ecology situation worsen. The dean’s office requested one more chance for debtors. Fine. The truly final deadline is Monday, September 12, at 15:15 (start of the fifth class), room 4-24 (Department of Zoology). After that, wait for a commission. There will be no easy pass, but if you prepare, you can clear the debt. Whoever needs it, prepare.
