Requirements for Third-Year Students Taking the Credit for Educational Field Practice in Vertebrate Zoology Under an Individual Plan
Students who submitted applications to the dean before practice and received an individual plan must complete practice by October 15.
The composition of the credit assessment is described here. Requirements for student research work are here. I strongly ask third-year students of 2018 to take into account the negative experience of third-year students in 2017 described here. I was genuinely surprised that when people are told “stealing is forbidden,” they decide this is an invitation to steal. No! Moreover, the situation has changed. If last year I reported plagiarism listing only titles of works, now I will “publicly” indicate surnames. In successful countries, students are expelled for what was done last year. I hope this will one day be so in our country as well, and I will do what I can to bring that time closer. Students who submitted applications to the dean before practice and received an individual plan must complete practice by October 15 (zoology and botany are completed independently; the exam is awarded only when both courses are completed). In my view, students who formalized an individual plan missed a very important part of their training. Some details are here and here. Almost one and a half thousand photos by Dmytro Anatoliiovych Bukhanovskyi from the practice are posted here (Facebook access required). Unfortunately, there is a number of students who skipped practice at their own discretion. In my view, this indicates that biological education is unnecessary for them. To be allowed to complete practice, they must receive permission from the dean or the deputy dean for academic affairs. For my part, I will insist that such students should be removed without any regret. ...I reread this. It turned out strict. Believe me, during practice it was better! Back to work!
