Worse than anything so far, and moreover, given the extremely weak discussion at seminars and the widespread seminar absences, grading involved a rather strict truncation of the left "tail" of the distribution. Dear third-year students, your efforts in working on the third module have gone off in some other direction. However, student setbacks do happen. I am very sorry, but I responded to this failure by increasing the requirements. There was also a failure at this stage in the previous cohort, but now it is deeper.I informed everyone that I planned to assign module grades not to everyone who wrote the test satisfactorily, but also to take into account seminar attendance and work during seminars. However, after seeing the outcome, I did it differently - I counted as passing only answers exceeding one third of the "hits", but for those who cleared that threshold I assigned grades across the board.Do not forget: on 7 and 9 December, discussion of the topic for Seminar No. 4 begins.
