Materials for Preparing for the Retake of 2nd Year Practical Work in Vertebrate Zoology

First of all, I would like to express my condolences to those students who, for one reason or another, missed the practical work in vertebrate zoology in Gaydary or its alternative in Kharkiv. You have missed that part of your education that many graduates still recall as the most vivid. Unfortunately, there is no possibility of repeating the practical work for you. You will need to work through the material independently and then pass credits with Tatiana Andreyevna Atemasova in ornithology and theriology, and with me (Dmitry Andreyevich Shabanov) in herpetology and ichthyology. The level of your answers will be assessed using the same scale as that for those who completed the practical work at the biological station. Answer well — you will receive a good grade. Believe me, it will require serious effort on your part. The main source for your preparation is the practical work manual (Atemasova et al., 2008). The link provides the version printed six years ago. The revised version is available here. The herpetology section has not yet been corrected in it.
