Student Biology Olympiad
I invite strong and ambitious students of ALL years to participate in the student biology olympiad. The olympiad will be held on Tuesday, March 13, at 3:15 PM in room III-15.
Dear students, the time has come for the next biology olympiad. Strong and ambitious students of ALL years are invited to participate. Experience in student and school olympiads is welcome. The olympiad will be held on Tuesday, March 13, at 3:15 PM in room III-15. Be prepared — the olympiad lasts about 3 hours and includes both multiple-choice tests and open-ended questions. The test format is described here. All students from the second year onward are familiar with this test format, while first-year students will find it useful to carefully study the testing procedures. Based on the olympiad results, two people will be selected to travel to the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Lutsk at the end of April. This is a very interesting and attractive opportunity that should not be overlooked. For reference: last year, Anastasia Bondareva (at that time a 3rd-year biochemistry student) and Viktor Baranov (at that time a 4th-year zoology student) traveled to Lutsk. Bondareva took 3rd place (achieving approximately the 5th best overall score), while Baranov was the first participant without a place (meaning he was also close to winning). This year we need to try to perform even better!
