Zoology 2012. What the Exam Consists Of

Here you can find the list of exam questions. I am satisfied with it and will not change it. Here is a discussion of some exam questions. Here is the scoring breakdown and explanation of the rules. Here is an overview of available literature. Anything unclear? Ask small things here; more serious matters — on the forum; my answer to your question may be useful to someone else.

To my surprise, many second-year students were unable to find the exam questions on the website. When I advise them to look at how last year's exam went and review the materials, students look at me and nod. I'm afraid that this advice (like much other advice from instructors) goes in one ear and out the other. So. Here is the list of exam questions. The exam consists of two parts: a test and extended written questions. The test is designed for 60 minutes of working time (more than the module tests). I can give the test and written questions at the same time. It's no trouble for me. But consider: those of you who, after a difficult test, will have to answer 6 questions (and even those who worked during the semester and will therefore only answer two) will be completely drained by the end of the exam. It seems to me that it would be more convenient for you to separate the exam test and the written questions in time. I propose writing the exam test on May 14 or 21, during the time when the lecture was supposed to take place (Monday, 10 o'clock). Which is more convenient for you? We need to choose ONE date for the entire class. Yes, I warn you in advance. If you miss the exam test, I will allow you to take it AFTER the second part of the exam (where you answer written questions) only if you have a medical certificate or an equally important reason for your absence. I might make an exception for those who, even without this test, would score more than 75 out of 100 points (i.e., those aiming for an A). I will refuse everyone else. So missing the exam test is not in your interest!
