II. Acraniata, Tunicata, Agnatha-01. Lecture #03. Archaic Chordate Groups
Archaic chordate groups: acraniates, tunicates, and jawless vertebrates.
This lecture was affected by YouTube algorithms, which removed fragments from the film “Walking with Monsters.” At 41:33 and 48:20, pieces were cut out. If you are interested, here they are. The first fragment shows Cambrian early vertebrates and illustrates the importance of capturing individual food particles. The second shows the difficult life of Cephalaspis (an ostracoderm representative) in the Ordovician, where top predators were cephalopods and eurypterids (sea scorpions).
I would like to remind you that I use these BBC fragments not to earn money, but to give students a clearer visual understanding of the groups we discuss.
